THE LONG STORY

This was one of the first designs I made when I began embroidering for myself. I wanted something simple yet inspired comments like AWESOME COOL AMAZING MEGA RAINBOW UNICORN EXPLOSION EXCELLENTNESS!!!! And whatdaya know it worked out! This has been one of my most popular items.  

So I was on the phone to my good friend who was destroying her kitchen (aka making cookies) and she said “I need an apron that doesn’t make me want to blind myself…what would you’re retro glasses look like embroidered on it?”  

I squinted my eyes, turned my head and thought “what would my retro glasses look like on it…also on a pillow…or a duvet…OR THE EIFFLE TOWER!!” I was getting ahead of myself but it did inspire me to design this pattern for you, my fair embroidering cohort.

Through many hours of ferocious typing, research and consultation with the experts I developed this pattern to be useful to beginners but adaptable if you’re already familiar with surface embroidery. Fully illustrated, covering most if not all of your bases.
