A sweet way to commemorate the place that kept you warm and safe, or a thoughtful gift to those who have moved into their first home, or are leaving a home they have loved for years.
Working with you the whole time, your piece with be embroidered by hand and filled with personal touches such as your favorite tree or flower bush, the gold door knocker or that magnificent lawn.
Taking at least 10 hours, each house is lovingly hand stitched using a variety of fine detail stitches and felt to suit the unique features of your home. Embroidered onto quality lambswool color linen. You can also choose the text you would like to appear at the bottom of your house; perhaps your address, family name or another phrase personal to you.
The embroidered image will be of the facade of the house with a small portion of the yard or garden. No large items except for trees and bushes will be embroidered (e.g. cars, trailers, spaceships).
Inspiration
My sister just moved across country. She lives in England, so that's about 500 yards but when you live on an island that's a pretty big deal. I jest but we are all very proud of her. It's no mean feat to pick up your life, turn it upside down and inside out and then place it back down in an organized fashion somewhere completely different. But she did, and now she lives in beautiful somerset her dream area. In all honesty I think she just wanted to eat a ton of corn beef pasties and say "what fer" a lot.
To commemorate her old place that she lived in for near 20 years, I embroidered her a portrait of her old home.
Perhaps you would like to do the same for someone or you would simply like to honor the home that has been yours for a while. Maybe it's your first home! Whatever the reason, the embroidered portrait will be the perfect heirloom gift to your home or someone you treasure.
What should I know?
There are a limited number of slots available for these Custom Embroidered House Hoops and they tend to sell out quickly so unfortunately no reservations can be made.
Once you have ordered, I will send you a confirmation email within 48 hours. Please let me know within 7 days if you wish to cancel. Once I have begun designing your house and buying supplies, a full refund will no longer be possible.
In your confirmation email I will also request a photo of your home to start the design process. I will also ask you to let me know the wording you would like to have embroidered below your house (if any). Due to the size of the embroidery there are constraints on the length of phrase I can embroider. If you have a longer phrase (more than 5 words) then contact me. We may be able to use a bigger hoop or rearrange the design to meet your needs. Please note, this may impact the cost of the hoop.
